Need a bachelor's or master's thesis project?
We're always looking for talented individuals who are interested in robotics, and may see themselves pursuing a career in research. The normal way for new employees to join our lab is by developing their thesis project at EDI.
Available Topics
A set of research projects for students are currently available:
- Position-based Visual Servo Control of a Robot
- Image-based Visual Servo Control of a Robot
- Vision-based Patrol Path Generation for Mobile Robots
- Mobile Robot Approach Pose Estimation
- Object Grasping from Variable Containers
- Grasp Planning and Execution Using Dexterous Robotic Hand
- Evaluation of Force Feedback for Grasping using Dexterous Robotic Hand. Focus: use tactile sensors and interpret their output to detect grasp success/failure
- Teleoperation of a Dexterous Robotic Hand via Human Glove Interface. Focus: map hand tracking data to the Shadow Hand
- Multi-Modal Sensor Fusion for Enhanced Object Manipulation in Dexterous Robotic Hands. Focus: combine vision, and tactile for better control
