A national project led by the Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Latvia, with the participation of Riga Technical University, the University of Latvia, the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI), the Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre, the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry and the Rezekne Academy of Technologies. The goal of this project was to carry out interdisciplinary research to serve as the basis for internationally competitive technologies, products and services, as well as new economic sectors in Latvia.

Contribution
EDI's robotics group was the leading contributor to Task 4.1. of the project, and developed a technology demonstrator - Natural Language Concepts in Robot Perception and Interpreting High-level Instructions (NLIP), in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Latvia (LU MII).
