Contribution

The main role of the robotics Group was to demonstrate the use of 3D/depth sensors developed by the partners in an industrial task — sorting plastic bottles using an industrial robot. Through research in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and robot control algorithms, the a demonstrator was created consisting not only of an industrial robot, but also of a mobile platform capable of detecting bottles on the floor, autonomously navigating to them, and pushing them outside the work area.
